SKI-TO-SEA

JOIN ED PEDERSEN IN IMPACTING THE LIVES OF
CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN DETROIT AND ACROSS MICHIGAN

Racing For Brighter Futures

Last year, thanks to the generosity of friends, family, and supporters, I raised more than $15,000 for MCHS Family of Services, a Michigan-based human services organization with more than a century of experience caring for vulnerable children, youth, families, and older adults.

This year, I’m joining a team for the Ski-to-Sea race and raising funds for MCHS’ Independent Living Plus (ILP) program, the largest program in Michigan supporting young men aging out of foster care.

Each year, close to 1,000 youth age out of foster care in Michigan. ILP helps young men build stability through housing, mentoring, vocational support, and life skills development.

My goal is to raise $30,000, and thanks to a generous donor, the first $5,000 in gifts will be matched dollar for dollar.

Pictured middle back, I’m proud to help young people experience the same support, encouragement, and possibility we  all had growing up.
